A little bit about the artist..
Hey ya'll! I'm Mary, the person behind the art.
Growing up, I was always passionate about drawing & art in general. More so than that, I loved the outdoors: hunting, fishing, working with livestock, and still do.
The first burned piece I ever created was from memory, a duck hunt I went on. I wanted to bring it to life the way I remembered it in that moment so wouldn't forget it, the excitement, watching the dogs work, and the way the sky looked as the sun was setting and ducks flew over.
When I started wood burning (pyrography), turning it into a business was the last thought in my mind until a very talented friend asked me to create a stool with their logo for them. That itself was one of the biggest learning curves ever; self doubt. I was so nervous that he was going to hate it. When time came to pick it up, they told me, "It's exactly what I imagined".
From that moment I realized this is what I wanted to do. Bring memories, and other people's imagination to life. Something, that as we get older, tends to slip away in the busyness of life.
